The lessons take place in Berlin-Moabit. You can either buy a card and schedule each lesson to your needs. Or you can get a weekly lesson contract. Then you´ll have a lesson each week at the same time and the same day. (but not in the berliner school holidays). Here is a copy of the contract.

Both options are possible with online teaching aswell.

Tina ist nicht nur eine hervorragende Gitarristin, sondern auch eine sehr gute Lehrerin. Wobei das Wort „Lehrerin“ eigentlich die falsche Bezeichnung ist. Denn es erweckt direkt Assoziationen an die Schule. So ist der Unterricht definitiv nicht. Tina unterrichtet sehr humorvoll und ist auf meine individuellen Wünsche und Lernziele eingegangen. Ich habe bei ihr eine Karte für zehn Unterrichtsstunden gekauft. Mein konkretes Lernziel war, zumindest einen Jazzstandard so zu beherrschen, dass ich ihn vom Aufbau her verstehe und darüber sicher improvisieren kann. Das haben wir anhand des Standards „Lady Bird“ in den zehn Stunden erreicht. Zusätzlich haben wir noch die Standards „A Night in Tunisia“ und „‘Round Midnight“ durchgenommen. Tina führt Buch, was in jeder Stunde behandelt wurde. So baut sie die Unterrichtsstunden konsequent und didaktisch sinnvoll aufeinander auf. Neben Tonleitern und den entsprechenden Fingersätzen, Akkorden (Shellvoicings) und deren Aufbau gehörten auch Timingübungen zum Unterrichtsinhalt. Tina gibt auch sehr wertvolle Tipps, wie man zu Hause zeiteffektiv üben kann. Das hat mich auch definitiv weitergebracht. Darüber hinaus hat Tina ein eigenes Vorspiel für die Schüler organisiert. Eine gute Gelegenheit, um die neu erlernten Fähigkeiten „live“ auszuprobieren. Insgesamt empfehle ich Tina als Gitarrenlehrerin uneingeschränkt weiter. Für mich hat es sich sehr gelohnt!

Tina Jäckel has a great sense of humour and knowledge of music/ jazz theory. We play jazz standards (comping, melody, improvisation) and analyze them, theory is broken down into digestible pieces. I am very happy to have found her!

Tina has been teaching me for more than one year and I have made considerable progress on my guitar journey. Tina’s lessons are highly focussed and really go deep into the microstructures of guitar playing. We have done several transcriptions together and her comments really made me understand what happened in the brains of the soloists instead of just reproducing the licks and phrases of the solos. Her lessons are nevertheless always musical and she adapts with empathy and humour to the pace of her students. So, if you're really interested in growing your musicianship I strongly recommend studying with Tina!
